Loved taking photos of my childhood best friend Sofia in her upper west side New York apartment! We went for vintage, chic, Architectural Digest vibes with this shoot. It was precarious climbing out on the fire escape. But at least we know that it holds weight in the event of a disaster! Happy to have been the test subject.
Her room is a beautiful master with a wall of closet space and stunning old features. I love the charm of the old radiator. The place overlooks Morningside Park – it’s just a block away from the northwest corner of Central Park. Such a perfect location. I’m so glad we got a chance to take these this past week when I visited her! Now she has some fun memories of her first apartment to look back on.
This is far from my first shoot with Sofia – in fact we’ve done several over the years. And they are all so different in style. Check out these chic, Parisian style photos from when her bob was dyed black. The following spring we took brighter, Easter themed photos in the fields surrounding her house in Idaho. (By the way, we have been neighbors our entire childhood!) Later that summer we did an Italian villa styled shoot for a local jewelry company. And lastly, I took new headshots of both her and her sister last year! All four of those shoots were taken around or near her house, even though they look wildly different. That’s the magic of editing…
Enjoy these photos from a very different location, her upper west side New York apartment. 🙂
