So it turns out that you had to pre-book your swimming slot at the Blue Lagoon, which we didn’t know so we couldn’t get in. We decided to go around to the unheated pools out back (the ones people explore while bundled up in parkas) to get the shots we really wanted. Aka the swimsuit photos. Thinking back, I have no idea where I found the bravery to do this because it was 25 degrees with wind chill… but I stripped down to just a swimsuit and posed for five minutes until I contracted hypothermia. I still have not regained regular body temp, and I’m writing this a week later. Anyway, we made it back inside safe and sound with only minor frostbite and a lot of weird stares from workers, but I’m so happy the photos turned out!
